Eligibility

Open for applications from 31st January 2021
Holders/former holders of BNO passports can apply for the visa for both the holder and closely related family members
Can apply even with an expired BNO passport
BNO visa holders will have the right to study, work and live in the UK; however, they will not be eligible for social welfare benefits (Pensions, subsidies etc.)
Options to go for a 30-month visa followed by a 30-month extension, or a one-off application for a 5-year visa

Accompanying family members:

Spouse, civil partner or unmarried partner
Children under the age of 18
Adult children born on or after 1 July 1997 (and their spouse, or child under the age of 18)
Other family members (parent, grandparent, brother, sister, son or daughter) in exceptional circumstances where there is a high level of dependency
