Application
Parents & Grandparents Sponsorship (PGP) - PR VISA
Eligibility:
- PGP (Parents & Grandparents) Program lets citizens and permanent residents of Canada sponsor their parents and grandparents to come to Canada. Sponsors need to return to Canada and live in Canada before sponsoring their parents/grandparents to apply for PR visa inside Canada.
- As a sponsor, they must meet and maintain the minimum necessary income level (MNI) until the sponsored persons become PR.
- Canadian income proof for each of the 3 years prior to the date of application is required.
Super VISA For Parents & Grandparents - TR VISA
Eligibility:
- This visa is also for eligible parents or grandparents. It is a multiple-entry TRV for up to 10 years, with the status period extending for up to 2 years on each entry to Canada.
- Normally, a visitor visa can be valid for a stay of up to 6 months. To prolong their stay in Canada, visa holders need to apply to extend their visa.
- With a super visa, visa holders may be able to stay in Canada for up to 2 years at a time without needing to apply for an extension.
